Pleasant Hill Homes

Pleasant Hill is a small town that is well located between Highways 680 and 24. Concord is to its north, and busy Walnut Creek is to its south.  It originally started out as a post war bedroom community, and many of its neighborhoods have that classic look--many beautiful trees shading the streets, large front and back lawns, a back patio for entertaining, and usually no more than 2-3 bedrooms.  This look has changed just a bit as newer condos and homes have been built to add to the steadily growing need for housing in the area.  Now the homes may have multi-stories, wall to wall windows, dual pane windows, granite counters and stainless steel kitchens, and spacious kitchens.  At present, there are 22 separate neighborhoods in the city-pretty amazing for a town its size.  It attests to its popularity.

Because of its size, most of the major activities like shopping and entertainment are done outside of the city proper. The exception is the  Pleasant Hill Shopping Center, which includes a movie multiplex and 19 stores that offer food from pizza to ice cream. Satellite shopping sites complement this center.  However, there is no doubt that the major economic draw is just moments away at Sunvalley Mall, and adjacent big box centers.

The city includes Diablo Valley College and John F. Kennedy University and, for those who enjoy golf, two golf courses are available as well.
