Do you know about Patch.com? Most cities have a Patch website. It is  basically a small town newspaper on line. They carry news that is important to you in your city. Things from local events to local news. For instance, Berkeley’s Patch has an article about the best coffee shops in the area. Piedmont currently has information about their local upcoming elections and a police blotter. All are a little different.

To see if your city has one, type in the name of city then .patch.com. For instance, Piedmont.patch.com. The patch websites carry a lot of really interesting information. Many also have Facebook pages that you can "Like." Check it out, you might be amazed.
