Take a walk on Seaview in Piedmont

I frequently walk up and down the street and gaze at these masterpieces of architecture and grandeur. Take a 20 min walk and then have lunch in the park at the corner of Hampton and Seaview. You'll thank me later.

I used to live on Santa Ray Avenue and my daily walk would almost always include this street. It's gorgeous. That's what I love about Oakland; I can start out on Lakeshore and less than a mile later I feel like I'm somewhere completely different. My favorite time was when I was walking at night and I saw a party taking place in the Ballroom of one of the homes. Fancy!
