Piedmont residents are especially lucky to have Piedmont Center For The Arts just moments from their home. Â Located at 801 Magnolia Avenue, it is a vital artistic venue. Â The year has barely begun, and presentations there have already included SonoMusette: Songs of 20th Century Paris, Love Lines performed by Stagebridge Theater which included stories, and songs based on love and Valentine's Day, and the Berkeley Symphony and Friends Concert. Â The variety of musical and theatrical opportunities available is truly amazing, and there is more to come as the year progresses. As the online calendar for March and April indicates, there will be a Jazz in the Neighborhood Concerts available, as well. Â Â
Â
However, the Center is not just stage presentations. Â The goal of the Center is to bring together, in one location, all the elements of the local arts community, and as such, various artist present their works there on a regular basis. Â An Art Jam Reception, an artists exhibit, and a Speakers Series Talk on Dance Today, reflects this concept in upcoming presentations.
Â
So, if you have not discovered this local gem, take a moment to explore your artistic opportunities and enjoy your favorite artists. Â
