One of the most popular of the mid-Century " California Modern" homes is the Eichler home.  This very spacious home, at 8010 Shay Drive in Oakland, represents the core concept of the Eichler design-- bring the "outside in".  Designed by acclaimed architect A. Quincy Jones in 1965, this version is referred to as the "Double A" style, and, as such, was one the most popular of the Eichler styles that was developed.

 It offers 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a gracefully designed swimming pool.
