Livermore Real Estate

Livermore is located in the comfortable Tri-Valley area of northern California, between the hills of the East Bay and those of the central valley.  Located just east of the thriving cities of Dublin and Pleasanton,  it has a population of just over 84,000 people, and prides itself on its roots in agriculture and cattle raising.  While most of the cattle may be gone, the agricultural side still remains, because of the many popular long term, and newly developing, vineyards in the area.

All is not historic in Livermore however.  Current scientific growth and development are ongoing at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories, which attract scientists and researchers from all over the world.

Recent growth and development in the downtown area have created a pleasant venue for restaurants and shopping for both residents and visitors. A new Livermore Cinema, and the Bankhead Theater, that features perfoming arts, have been added, and a large and comfortable multistory parking lot serves these new venues in addition to those passengers arriving at the train station.

Recreational activities are everywhere in the valley.  Most popular is golf. There are three 18 hole, and one 9 hole golf courses available-two of the more famous are the Poppy Ridge and the Wente Vineyard Course.  A large attraction is the Shadow Cliff Park area, which is 266 acres devoted to swimming, boating and fishing.  Not far away is the Del Valle Regional Park designed for camping and hiking and boating as well, and which functions as the eastern gateway to the Ohlone Wilderness Trail.
