Piedmont's Wildwood School is located at 301 Wildwood Drive, and is a school very committed to its student's progress in education.  Having just under 300 students, and a very low teacher to student ratio, the school is small in size, but not in effort to educate. It offers K-5 classes, and in addition to presenting the basic state required classes, the learning is supplemented with a wealth of additional opportunities for each child. Teacher Specialization opportunities are offered in a wide variety of subjects, and include Art, Library, Math, Music, PE, Reading, Science and Technology.

Supplemental programs include three before and after school programs.  The Piedmont Language School offers fee based language programs, usually before school, and is currently offering instruction in Spanish.  The After School Enrichment Program is sponsored by the Wildwood Parent's Club, with a goal to present interesting and challenging opportunities for student growth.  Lastly, the Schoolmates program is a licensed child care program on site, and run by the staff of the Piedmont Recreation Department.  It begins at 7:30 a.m., and closes at 6:00 p.m. on all school days.  It presents activities in physical fitness, movement, art, drama, and more. 

There are three major fundraising activities during the year that are sponsored by the very active Wildwood Dad's Club.  The first, in October, is the Pumpkin Patch, held at Coach's Field.  The second is a February Crab Feed, and finally, a fun filled  Elementary Tri-School Softball Tournament held in late spring.  These are major fund raisers for the school, and in 2012, money from these events bought New Macbook Pro laptops for classrooms, enhancements for the computer lab, software and WiFi, all new audiovisual equipment for the school auditorium, and lastly, new basketball poles, backboards, and hoops for the playground.
