It's time to bring friends and family and enjoy the annual Wildwood Dads Club Crab Feed.  This highly popular fund raiser offers the best of both worlds-good food and good entertainment.  It's easy to find. It will be held at the Piedmont Veterans Memorial Hall at 401 Highland Avenue, on Saturday, January 31st, and starts at 6:00 p.m.

The menu is classic.  You will dine on fresh all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab, and the menu also offers lasagna and fresh salad.  Adding to the atmosphere will be music to enjoy, and a No Host Bar will be available.

 For the last 12 years, the annual Piedmont Turkey Trot has attracted Piedmont families, friends and neighbors to the Piedmont Excedra to begin the annual fund raiser that combines a 3 mile walk/run course through some beautifully scenic neighborhoods in the city.  It's theme this year is "Move Your Feet Before You Eat", and that pretty well defines the concept of the event.

Held on Thursday, November 27, participants can begin the run starting at 8:30 a.m. at Highland and Magnolia streets, and be done well before a pleasant Thanksgiving dinner elsewhere in the area.  This is also a fund raising event, and the net proceeds will go to benefit the Piedmont High School Cross Country Track and Field Teams, and The City of Piedmont Athletic Facilities…

If you have not discovered the bargains and outstanding selections at the Dress Best For Less Store, you need to consider upping your shopping skills.  This outstanding resale store was established 30 years ago as a way of collecting and reselling high quality clothing and other household items to benefit the Piedmont Educational Foundation.  It has been a rousing success.  In September, 2013, DBFL donated $60,000 to the schools, and in May, 2014, the Foundation received $50,000.  Overall, in the last 30 years, DBFL activities have raised more than $1,000,000 for the PEF.  

They also highlight special seasonal events, and currently have a delightful selection of clothes and accessories that are just right for that perfect Halloween costume party.…

This coming Sunday, September 28th, is the time to bring your family and friends to the annual Harvest Festival.  Held at the Piedmont Community Center, 711 Highland Avenue, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., it promises to offer fun, food, and fall scarecrows and pumpkins, with the goal of generating  funds in imaginative ways for Piedmont's three elementary schools. 

To help get you into the holiday mood, there will be a celebration of jazz music, starting at 11:30 a.m., featuring the Piedmont High School Jazz Band.  After that, on the hour, throught the rest of the event, there will be a selection of various area jazz groups providing background music as you enjoy the day.
